Location Work - Stage - Planning

Location Work - Stage

Today we visited some of the locations we are planning on using in our video. We visited 2 possible locations for the main stage that the artist(s) will be playing on. We chose these 2 areas for a few reasons such as size, layout and how professional they looked.

Stage 1:

We chose this stage as a possible stage as it was much larger than the other stage. The stage was far bigger and is raised above the ground as most real stages are giving a more authentic feel to the area. However it was also clear that this stage was much older, the wood is visibly much more worn down and the walls in general appear very bleak as well as the general amount of dust showing how this is clearly not an actual music stage or atleast if it is, it is very old and unused. Ultimately the decision is likely to come down to whether we find we need the space more than the looks which could be edited in the editing suites and also availability of both stages. Below are pictures of this stage.

Stage 2:

This stage is a lot smaller than the other stage however it does look far more clean and better looked after. It does not have a raised staged other than a very small section generally u sed for seating however this stage does look far more professional and also has better utilities for lights and would allo for shots from all angles of the artist(s) if they were placed in the middle of this stage due to how there is access to most sides of the stage. Furthermore the standard lighting is better on this stage and due to being newer it appears alot cleaner and better quality. This stage therefore would be more useful in order to keep the video looking professional but does not have the iconic raised stage present in many videos and is also more limited in terms of availability as well as being smaller in general compared to Stage 1. Below are some images of this stage.
